Turkey Crab™

from $16.95
sold out

We are excited to release Turkey Crab, our preference from thousands of more vigorous, cold hardy selections which were crossed and grown from seed. The tree is vigorous in the nursery and pushes a very tall, thin whip the first year, followed by a heavy, multi-limbed stalk the second year under good growing conditions. You will start to see crabs within two to three years. As the tree begins to mature, you’ll experience extremely heavy masses of small, half-inch crabs which persist from mid-to-late fall. Budded on to large root stock, Turkey Crab will push a fully crowned crab tree at maturity (18’ wide x 25’ tall). The drops from Turkey Crab are very heavily fed upon by Whitetails. Wildlife Species: Whitetail, Turkey and Birds.

Planting zones 4-9.
