Redfield Apple/Crab Cross
Redfield was developed by the NY State Experimental Station in the 1930’s from crossing Wolf River with a red-fleshed crab. It’s a very hardy, disease resistant crab/apple cross that ripens in mid-fall. Redfield is a heavy annual cropper and a good hard cider and multipurpose baking apple. Wildlife Species: Whitetail.
