*Eta Hazelnut

$12.95
sold out

Eta Hazelnut trees have a more upright habit, high resistance to disease (Eastern Filbert blight) and have very good rooting ability. Eta has a later maturity into fall (September-October), making it an excellent choice for whitetail and wildlife. All three hazelnut varieties, Eta, Jefferson and Theta are complimentary for pollination. The picture shows our typical bare root hazelnut trees of 30-48” on average. Hazelnuts have a limited root system, therefore, they should be planted approximately 8” deep and allowed to grow the first year in order to become established. During the second year they should be cut back to 3 to 4’ in order to promote dense growth. Wildlife Species: Whitetail, Turkey.

Planting zones 5-8.

*When buying shorter stock, shipping costs will be refunded up to the proper lower amount.
